A long time Reiki friend and I were having a discussion yesterday on the phone about the fact that we are both in our 60's, our lives continue to get better, and we are both so grateful to be where we are in our lives. Mature, wise, successful singles, working on ourselves, and both anchored with solid spiritual foundations. While, I long to have all my bodies balanced and integrated, my focus and determination waxes and wanes. At times, I can get some of my bodies balanced, but it is a slippery slope that I'm climbing, and as soon as I include another body, a previous one slips into the waning shadows, and the illusive ring of balance and integration slips through the fingers of my hand. My friend, stated that she no longer thinks balance is a realistic option or goal, rather, life is an ebbing and flowing of priorities and goals, which allow us to focus in a timely fashion on what is needed in the moment. While being a boater, I agree with and like the analogy of ebbing and flowing, through the goals and priorities of one's life, there is another part of me that longs for and believes that balance and integration can be obtained in one's life.
My time spent on the Big Island in Healing Your Bodies 3 with Reiki Master Jean Ferris was profound in many ways. But one thing is certain, I have returned with a new sense of alertness, awareness and able to refocus and redefine my healing priorities. I am acutely aware of my shadowed past and how it impacts and sabotages my goals. I have the courage to face myself with new eyesight to see the things that prevent me from balance and integration of all my bodies and to see the truth of my being that will allow me to venture forth into a new dimension of focus.
Balance and integration are a process; a life-long process and it takes a life-long commitment. It is the marriage of the bodies with the soul. It is the fulfillment of our sacred contract. Do I believe balance and integration can be achieved? Deep within my heart of hearts, my soul, I do believe this and also know that it is the most difficult challenge of our lives, if we choose to follow the path to the finish line. We learn over time that in order to stay focused, and commited, we need to embrace our journey with love. The journey is our life, therefore, we need to love it, in order to be successful.
Reiki gives us exceptional tools and it is up to us to use them, day after day, year after year until....
