Balance and Integration of Our Bodies: Can It Really Be Achieved?

A long time Reiki friend and I were having a discussion yesterday on the phone about the fact that we are both in our 60's, our lives continue to get better, and we are both so grateful to be where we are in our lives. Mature, wise, successful singles, working on ourselves, and both anchored with solid spiritual foundations. While, I long to have all my bodies balanced and integrated, my focus and determination waxes and wanes. At times, I can get some of my bodies balanced, but it is a slippery slope that I'm climbing, and as soon as I include another body, a previous one slips into the waning shadows, and the illusive ring of balance and integration slips through the fingers of my hand. My friend, stated that she no longer thinks balance is a realistic option or goal, rather, life is an ebbing and flowing of priorities and goals, which allow us to focus in a timely fashion on what is needed in the moment. While being a boater, I agree with and like the analogy of ebbing and flowing, through the goals and priorities of one's life, there is another part of me that longs for and believes that balance and integration can be obtained in one's life.

My time spent on the Big Island in Healing Your Bodies 3 with Reiki Master Jean Ferris was profound in many ways. But one thing is certain, I have returned with a new sense of alertness, awareness and able to refocus and redefine my healing priorities. I am acutely aware of my shadowed past and how it impacts and sabotages my goals. I have the courage to face myself with new eyesight to see the things that prevent me from balance and integration of all my bodies and to see the truth of my being that will allow me to venture forth into a new dimension of focus.

Balance and integration are a process; a life-long process and it takes a life-long commitment. It is the marriage of the bodies with the soul. It is the fulfillment of our sacred contract. Do I believe balance and integration can be achieved? Deep within my heart of hearts, my soul, I do believe this and also know that it is the most difficult challenge of our lives, if we choose to follow the path to the finish line. We learn over time that in order to stay focused, and commited, we need to embrace our journey with love. The journey is our life, therefore, we need to love it, in order to be successful.

Reiki gives us exceptional tools and it is up to us to use them, day after day, year after year until....

Reiki Anniversary For Jean C. Ferris

12 of Jean's sponsors gathered on the Big Island, Hawaii to help Jean celebrate her 20th Anniversary of Reiki Mastery. We stayed at Kilauea Military Camp on the Big Island where the recent volcano activities drew deva-ju responses that took place 20 years ago for Jean's mastery initiation.

Jean sits respectfully in her initiation seat as gratitude fills her heart.

Flowers and photos of the Initiation  were laid on the mat so all could view...

The ocean responded with crashing waves atop the site.

YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE ...

The week was filled with so many events, feelings that I am not able to process it all at this time and will try to add  more at a later time. 20 years ago when Jean was being initiated to Master I was living at Gurudev Siddha Peeth in Ganeshpuri, India. So, it was fitting that I be there for the anniversary celebrations. I loved hearing all the stories, seeing the initiation site was very special and getting to be with all the other sponsors made it an eventful time for me.

Hira Prepares For Hawaii

This coming week is a Big One as I prepare to join in the 20th Anniversary of Jean C. Ferris' Mastery Initiation on the Big Island of Hawaii. Twenty years ago Jean was initiated by Helen Haberly on 27 July 1990 into the Usui Shiki Ryoho circle of Masters. There will be a gathering of 12 of her sponsors from the Hawaiian Islands, Pacific Northwest, San Diego, and  Denver.

To honor this celebration, Jean will be offering for the first time the Healing Your Bodies #3 Workshop. We are all really excited about this trip, this course and getting to stay at Kilauea Military Camp will be special, as well. New vents are opening at the Kilauea Crater which is exciting. Also, we will get to see Jean's initiation site and listen to her sharings.

Stay tuned to this site and Jeans for future updates.

Reiki and Boat Bites

I'm on board my little diesel cruiser named Shatoosh. Yesterday as I  was cleaning up some locker spaces,  my hand got cut on a sharp, metal edge. I stopped and got a paper towel to stop the bleeding and immediately started to do Reiki on it. Today, it has already healed over, is not tender and I go about my day as tho nothing has happened to me.

Its as simple as that.

Reiki and The Ship's Bell

I received this ship's bell the other night from a friend. After researching the history of its ship; the SS Independence, our Reiki group decided that with its tormented history, we should treat it with loving Reiki from the universe. Afterwards, all the confusing information about this bell and history seemed to be sorted out. The bell was definately new and un-used and many of the individual parts did not fit together, as they would have, had it been on board and used on a daily basis.

As Reiki energy passed through us and we felt the energy of the bell, we experienced its vibration, we got to honor all living things, we felt  gratitude for this this gift and in the end the Truth is revealed. While this bell was clearly not the SS Independence's bell, but rather was given to someone who served faithfully on its bridge. I will honor this bell on board my vessel, Shatoosh, for years to come. Again, we get to see how Reiki carves out the truth from existing chaos and confusion and brings balance and harmony to all living things.

Reiki To The Rescue

Jean Ferris, Reiki Master arrived last night to teach Reiki in the Pacific NW. We stopped and had a spicy meal near the airport and by 0100 hrs, I was up in the bathroom throwing up in the trash can. I went downstairs and woke Jean up and together we treated me. Both of us lying in the recliner couch,  like a pair of well used book ends, she started sending me a distant treatment and I started hands on my belly. In a matter of a few minutes, I was no longer feeling that uncomfortable urge to run to the bathroom, but my stomach was still agitated and painful. A few more minutes the pain was gone and I was drifting off to sleep. Today, I am functioning slowly and as the day progresses, I am feeling more like myself and will be ready to sit in on the Reiki training tonight.

What would I do if I didn't have Reiki to tend to all the mysterious ailments that drop in so unexpectedly? I am always so grateful that I took my Reiki training and I continue to revel  in its magical and mystical qualities for 25 years. Domo Arigato Gozaimas, as they would say in ole Nippon.

Babe Mueller- Our Matriarch Passes On

Texas Blue Bonnets From Babe's Yard

Our wonderful family member, Babe, excarnated on Sunday morning, 11 April 2010. She passed during the early hours of the morning, while sleeping. She was loved and will missed by many. The matriarchal torch is now passed to her daughter, Georgia Ann. Again, Reiki helped Babe in many ways, but the most significant is always in the pain management realms. She was never in any pain, only discomfort when being moved or turned. Dying without pain is the hallmark of compassionate care and Reiki is the beacon of light which comes from the universe to soothe our suffering in our final days. How fortunate we are to have Reiki in our lives and how blessed each act of kindness becomes when we minister to the sick and dying.
